-FIRST INTERVIEW- The initial (1st) interview with an applicant is performed by the Human Resources Department. Specific questions will be asked regarding the information in the application. At this point, it is determined whether or not the applicant meets our minimum requirements for the position in question. Upon meeting these standards, the interview continues and the applicant’s background, experience, attitude, work ethic, appearance, and general suitability for employment are determined. Based upon the application and the interview process, Human Resources will determine whether the applicant would “fit” client’s needs at a specific site or employment position. If so, the applicant proceeds to the next phase (2nd Interview).
-SECOND INTERVIEW- Upon satisfactory completion of the first interview, applicants will receive an additional pre-hire interview. Typically, this interview is conducted by member(s) of the operations staff in an oral board, who are directly responsible for client accounts. The purpose of this interview is to determine and/or reinforce the applicant’s “fit” to the client account or employment position where the applicant has been targeted for assignment. If it is in agreement by operations staff that the applicant is a “fit” for the position applied for, the applicant proceeds to the next phase of the hiring process (physical fitness test).
-PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST- Upon satisfactory completion of the second interview, the applicant will receive an “invitation” to take a physical fitness test. This test consists of - Running up aprox. 18 steps (a distance of 25 feet); running down a corridor (or street - 680 feet), turning around at an orange cone at the end of the corridor (or street); running back down the corridor (or street - 680 feet), then dragging a weight, equivalent to a 180-pound mannequin the last 100 feet to the finish mark. (a total of aprox. 1,385 feet.) This test must be completed in 3:06 (3 minutes, 6 seconds) or less.
-BACKGROUND CHECK- Background checks are conducted to verify information provided by the applicant within the limits of the law. Past employers are contacted by telephone, writing and/or in person for verification of employment dates, duties, etc. Personal references which were or were not provided by the applicant are also contacted. Additionally, if military service is a part of the applicant’s background, the DD-Form 214 (Separation Notice) is checked to verify dates, rank, type of discharge, and any service-related training. Motor vehicle records (MVR) and police records checks are performed in and out of state if applicable. For some accounts and at client request, a Credit Check will also be obtained.
-EMPLOYMENT OFFER- After satisfactory completion of the 1st & 2nd Interview, the successful completion of the Physical Fitness Test and verification of all Background Information, CIA will compare results from all applicants and then may or may not extend an offer of employment based off the final results from all applicants. “Only the most qualified will be extended an offer of employment.”
